Providing flexible support options for people with a disability and their families and carers

Daily Services

Mercy Community Services (MCS) offers a service to people with a disability at our Mary Sellen Centre in Wooloowin in Brisbane.

How it works

Our Leisure and Lifestyle (L&L) service offers L&L hub based and community access services that are developed in consultation with individuals and their families, and aligned to an individual’s goals, choices and preferences. Services offered consist of recreational and social activities along with learning programs that promote self expression and diversity.

Service outcomes

Individuals can enjoy making new relationships and participating in a variety of activities in a stimulating, safe and secure environment. Our service is goal driven and these goals are part of an individual's personal support plans of which we support and furthermore, acknowledges the expectations of the NDIS.

Our practice framework is reflected by how we support the people we provide a service to on a daily basis. We are passionate about promoting independence and improving social skills as well as confidence. We do this through therapeutic, meaningful and purposeful activities that focus on the strengths of every individual and actively encourage self expression.

Our services are influenced and tailored from our weekly meetings which are facilitated by the people that we support. At Mercy Community Services, we proudly advocate and give a voice to those we support and work intensively alongside them to provide rewarding outcomes.

We are conveniently located three kilometres from the Brisbane city and is within walking distance from Wooloowin train station and Lutwyche bus station, making it easy for participants to access.
